WEVO-CHEMIE offers two PU casting resins which are conform with the French railway standard.

Railway applications demand highest reliability and quality of all used materials, consequently the regulations are very strict. Safety is the top priority for such applications. In order to ensure this, all technical requirements were incorporated in the French railway standard NFF 16-101. This standard focuses particularly on fire behaviour  and smoke development.
The flammability and dripping behaviour of a material, according to EN ISO 11925-2, is measured by means of  extensive tests. The ignition behaviour is determined using glow wire test according to EN 60695-2-10 combined with measurements of the oxygen index according to ISO 4589-2. The fire protection classification is carried out on bases of following criteria: opacity (NF X 10-702), toxicity (NF 70-100) and smoke index (NF F 16-101).
Only few producers of polyurethane casting resins offer materials which fulfill these requirements. WEVO-CHEMIE’s portfolio include two PUR-systems which comply with this stringent railway standard:

WEVOPUR 552 FLX mit WEVONAT 300

     - rating I2 F2 – under UL qualification
WEVOPUR 403 FL mit WEVONAT 300 RE  - rating I3 F2 – UL94 V-0 certified
These materials are in use in a number of applications like encapsulation of  DC/DC rectifiers, plugs, chokes, etc.
Keramax A/S and WEVO-CHEMIE PUR-Systems offer reliable protection according to railway standard NF F 16-101:1988
